About this website

All Saints Petersham has operated a small informational website since 2004. The website you see today was launched in February 2006.

The purpose of the website is to support the church's mission in spreading the word of God, by:
(a) providing up-to-date information and resource material to parishioners;
(b) building community among our congregation that extends beyond our usual gatherings;
(c) facilitating outreach by the Church to the local community of Petersham and surrounding suburbs.

The website is not intended to replace any of our existing meetings and parish services, but to enhance them. All information posted to the website will be available by other means to those who do not have access to the internet.

The All Saints website has been built using Drupal software. This is a powerful but user-friendly website construction suite which is available for free. More information about Drupal's features and uses can be found on the official Drupal website.

Drupal is open source software licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Created by two Antwerp university students in 2000, Drupal is maintained and developed by a community of thousands of users and developers around the world.

The All Saints website is hosted free of charge by the Information and Technology Department of the Sydney Diocesan Secretariat.

The current website was designed and is maintained by All Saints member Rick Eyre. If you have any questions regarding this website, please go to the contact us page and select "Contact the Webmaster" from the category drop-down menu.
