What is Salt?
Salt is a high school aged youth ministry initiative of All Saints Anglican Church Petersham.
What does Salt aim to do?
1. We aim to teach the Bible to young people of high school age, so that…
a. They can know and trust Jesus as Lord, and…
b. Know how to live in his eternal kingdom everyday.
2. We aim to assist parents raising children in the Christian faith, by modelling godliness, teaching the Bible, and training their children in all righteousness.How does Salt do that?
There is the main Sunday night youth meeting in the church hall from 5:00 - 7:00pm, that provides:- Bible teaching – through talks and activities
- Prayer
- Singing
- Relationship building activities/games
- Involvement, serving, and training.
- Pastoral care
- Bible teaching
- Friendship and fellowship
- Accountability
- Training
There are currently 3 groups:
- Guys meet on Wednesday afternoons 4:30 – 6:00pm in Lewisham.
- Girls meet Tuesday evenings 7:30 – 9:00pm in Dulwich Hill.
- A new young adults group called 'Grow' is starting up in term 2 of 2007 for guys and girls in year 11 and up.
