What is Salt?

Salt is a high school aged youth ministry initiative of All Saints Anglican Church Petersham.

(325 Stanmore rd – that’s in the Inner West of Sydney, NSW, Australia)..

We meet 6:30-8:30pm every Friday night of school term

What does Salt aim to do?

  1. We aim to partner with parents in raising their children in the Christian faith.
  2. We aim to to speak with a voice of wisdom and Christian maturity into the lives of young people, by teaching the Bible, being examples of godliness, and helping young people work out how to navigate their way through life well.

How does Salt do that? …

There is the main Friday night youth meeting in the church hall from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
This provides:

  • Bible teaching – through talks and activities
  • Prayer
  • Singing
  • Relationship building activities/games
  • Involvement, serving, and training.

There are Weekly Afternoon Bible Studies.
These provide:

  • Pastoral care
  • Bible teaching
  • Friendship and fellowship
  • Accountability
  • Training

Social activities – at least twice a term (mostly on Friday nights after youth group).
These provide:

  • Friendship and fellowship
  • History building
  • Urban legends!

Salt Camps twice a year.
These provide:

  • Bible teaching
  • Friendship and fellowship
  • Lot’s of fun!
